MPT-Black 355nm — Industrial SLA Laser Resin

High-Toughness, Thermally-Curable Photopolymer Engineered for Large-Format 355nm Stereolithography Systems

MPT-Black 355nm is a Multi-Purpose Thermal (MPT) resin designed from the ground up for industrial laser SLA printers operating at 355nm wavelength. Purpose-built for large-format production, this resin delivers exceptional toughness, impact resistance, and fine detail retention at fast print speeds — with the added versatility of dual cure capability: UV light cure or thermal oven cure. Easy IPA cleanup means less downtime between runs.

Available in 1-Gallon, 5-Gallon, and 55-Gallon Drum quantities to match any production volume — from prototyping shops to high-throughput service bureaus running around the clock.

Why MPT-Black 355nm

⚡ Dual Cure Technology
UV light cure or thermal cure (275°F / 1 hr). Thermal post-cure unlocks up to 35.9% peak elongation and 5,560 psi tensile strength — no UV flood box required.
🛡️ High Toughness & Impact
Notched Izod impact up to 52.52 J/m. Parts survive drops, snap-fits, and functional assembly where brittle resins fail.
🔬 High Detail Retention
Low viscosity (200–250 mPa·s) ensures excellent recoater flow across large build platforms and captures fine feature detail at every layer.
🧹 Easy IPA Cleanup
Formulated for fast, simple cleanup in isopropyl alcohol — critical for high-throughput operations running multiple builds per day.
📐 Low Shrinkage
<2% linear shrink keeps dimensional accuracy tight on large-scale parts — bumpers, dashboards, architectural models, and tooling masters.
🧪 Broad Chemical Resistance
Excellent resistance to mineral oils, salt water, sodium hydroxide, and bleach. Tested across 10 common industrial solvents.

💡 The MPT Thermal Cure Advantage

Large-format SLA parts are notoriously difficult to UV post-cure uniformly due to their size. MPT resins solve this with thermal post-cure capability — simply place parts in an industrial oven at 215-275°F for one hour. Heat penetrates uniformly regardless of part size, geometry, or pigment opacity, delivering superior and more consistent mechanical properties than UV light curing alone.

Post-Cure Options

Method Settings Notes
UV Light Cure 30-120 min under 405nm light Standard method; best for parts that fit in UV cure chambers
Thermal Cure (Oven) 215-275°F (135°C) for 1 hour, no light Ideal for large parts; delivers higher tensile & elongation
