Three ways to use it, one box
Every box set supports all three methods. Pick the one that fits the model in front of you.
1Contrast
Brush InstantEffect straight onto the clean print. The color settles into the recesses, so you get color and shade with great contrast in one coat. Want more pop? Dry brush DryBrush White over the print first to build highlights and texture, then brush the color over it.
Best for fast tabletop armies and high detail with very little effort.
2Traditional
Mix InstantEffect with DryBrush White for opaque colors like pastels and flesh tones, and paint the way you always have.
Best when you want solid, opaque color such as skin tones.
3Airbrush
Put InstantEffect in your airbrush undiluted, with no thinning, and spray. It goes on without clogging. Keep DryBrush White out of the airbrush.
Best for large models, terrain and smooth coverage over big areas.

- Clean the print with high purity IPA or Rhino Resin Cleaner so no liquid resin is left on it.
- Let it dry, then cure it fully. A tacky surface is a bad base for color.
- Clip and clean up support marks so the color flows across a smooth surface.
- Shake the bottle well and use it as it comes. Do not thin with water.
- Brush a generous coat and let it pool into the recesses. Thicker areas give more depth, thinner layers keep fine detail crisp.

How do I use InstantEffect?
It works three ways from one bottle. Contrast: brush one coat onto a clean model for color and shade. For SlapChop highlights and texture, dry brush DryBrush White first, then brush the color over it. Traditional: mix it with white for opaque colors and flesh tones. Airbrush: it goes straight in, no thinning.
Can I airbrush it?
Yes. The colors go straight into your airbrush, no thinning needed. Keep DryBrush White out of the airbrush, and work somewhere well ventilated, ideally with a spray booth.
Do I need to thin it?
Nope. Shake it well and use it straight from the bottle. Don't thin it with water.
What colors come in the box set?
All 10: Void Black, Jade Sapphire, Ultra Violet, Oxblood, Bog Oak, Troll Hide, Cyan Rift, Pure Yellow, DryBrush White and Pure Red. Each bottle is 30 ml (1.0 fl oz).
Do I need primer on my resin prints?
No. It goes on direct to surface, so you can brush it right onto a clean resin print, FDM model, mini or terrain piece.

Do I need to prime my resin prints first?
No. Clean and fully cure the print, then brush InstantEffect straight onto the resin. It is made to grip a smooth printed surface and flow into the details.
What can I paint with it?
Resin prints, FDM models, minis and terrain.
Can I thin it with water?
No. Use it as it comes for best results, in a brush or an airbrush.
Can I put it in my airbrush?
Yes. Spray the InstantEffect colors undiluted. Do not put DryBrush White in an airbrush. Work in a well ventilated area, ideally with a spray booth, and wear a respirator or mask rated for spray mist.
How do I make flesh tones or pastels?
Mix DryBrush White into any InstantEffect color for opaque tones. Bog Oak blended with white makes flesh tones easily. Pure Red, Pure Yellow and Cyan Rift are made for blending your own shades.

How do I clean up?
InstantEffect is a water based acrylic. Clean brushes and airbrushes with water before it dries, and wash your hands with soap and water after painting.
Safety and handling
- Made for hobby and miniature painting. Kids should only use it with an adult around. Keep it out of reach of young children.
- Avoid contact with your eyes. If some gets in, rinse with clean water and get medical help if irritation continues.
- Do not eat or drink it. If swallowed, rinse your mouth with water and call a doctor or poison control.
- Keep caps closed tight. Store at room temperature, away from heat and freezing.
- Dispose of leftover color and empty containers following your local rules. Please do not pour large amounts down the drain.
